December is Crazy

Well it's Saturday morning, December 22nd. and I'm out the door in about 15 minutes. Can you believe I have two inspections scheduled for today. Everything is up-side-down. This last week of December is usually quiet but, not this year. I have had to turn down business.

We usually close the week after Christmas but getting so many calls I may change my mind. Is anyone else expeienceing this increase in clients wanting home inspections?

If you listen to the news they say it is doom and gloom but things have been pretty busy. How is it going for you out there? I sincrely hope busy for you.

May you have a nice Christmas and look fwd. to talking with you this 2008.

December is a great month for real estate!  I'm on vacation this week and get back in time for another new construction closing.  I've had 2 other new construction deals close this month and one split resale.  I already have 2 closing scheduled in January. and a prospective new buyer to take out next weekend.  Did I hear someone say the market in 2007 was slow?

December is usually slower here in Columbia, but I know several people here that are more bussy than normal. So, I guess take while you can get it.

I often find December to be busy. I have two closing right after Christmas.  It's relocation time!!

I'm glad to hear that business is good. Somtimes it's hard to predict in December...

Howdy Carl

Good to see a new blog post by ya. It's been hit and miss here in NH. I had a call to do an inspection last Sunday during a big storm. That another inspector backed out of it that morming. They only had 3 days lift to have the inspection done. The home sat on it's own 4 1/2 mile private road. I have one for today and one for tomorrow.

Have a good one

Two a days are much for frequent than last year during December.

BUT, I'm booked until Wednesday morning for family time.  Just waiting for the grandkids to get here.

Then Wednesday and  Thursday is back to two a day.  I don't mind, but I did kinda look forward to a bit of a slowdown to get some rest and catch up on those things that don't get done when we're busy.

Maybe in January.

Only thing slowing down around here is the AR  page load time!!

I have pretty much wrapped up my business for the year.  I have a few jobs scheduled, but all in all the year is over and done with.  Every year I take pretty much the month of January off (rather my phone stops ringing!) and I'm looking forward to a little time to do things around the house.

We have had a busier than normal December which I'm grateful for. I am even booked for New Years day. Good thing my bedtime is early and I don't party (much)

Well heck, I have a 7,800sf home on the last day of the year!  The call came in yesterday while we were driving to the Liberty Bowl.  It was not a pretty game but our Dawgs squeaked out a win.

My holiday week was slower but it was welcome because we had family in town. I have 6 jobs already lined up for January.

Hello Everyone and thanks to all for your comments. It is New Year's Day and I am trying to get caught up with a little paper work and AR responses.  So to all that responded, yes, December ended up being a very good month for some of us and appears to be off to a good start for January.

I look forward to some good inspections news and real estate news from realtors as well. If there is an area that you would like to discuss send an email and I will get it started

Have a good one everyone.
