What do you expect from a home inspection?

A property inspection, whether an existing home, or a new construction, covers only areas that are accessible at the time of inspection

My job as the inspector is to locate problems. I've never inspected a perfect home, even in new construction. It is important to understand that these problem areas are not a repair list but a disclosure of the condition of each element of the home. The reports purpose is to allow the buyer to make a fully informed decision based on information that would not otherwise be obtained.

I know you have read this previously but I am going to stress the Importance of getting your home inspected.

New Construction -Absolutely-----Existing Home - Absolutely-----Preparing to Sell-----Absolutely

Always have your home inspected; this is money well spent.

    It's Carl's Birthday Today-November 17th-THE BIG 65

Hello Everyone - Just wanted to let you know today , November 17, 2007, that it is Carl's 65th Birthday.

I haven't quite figured out of he is happy or sad. Happy that he has made this milestone or sad because as he says"life is sure moving fast", let's keep him in the fast lane. Your B-Day wishes may make his day.

He has really enjoyed his friendships on Active Rain.  So if you happen to stop by, give a well wish or two. As you know, Carl is quite a jokester, so a joke or two would be accepted. All comments are welcome.

Smoke Detector & Carbon Monoxide Detector

Since I just got back from puting a battery in my 90 year old mother's  smoke detector and replacing a carbon monoxide detector, I thought I would post this reminder. CHECK THEM AND IF NEED BE REPLACE THEM.

Many homeowners neglect to install carbon monoxide detectors, but these are an essential line of defense. Same goes for smoke detectors. These items are inexpensive and necessary in everyone's home.

This is something some church's in our area do for the elderly. Don't stop there, remind a neighbor or a friend. It could save their life.
